GANESHA UPDATE
Just a little update from the previous sketch of Ganesha.
Only two arms, his legs, headdress and pattern-work to go.

GANESHA (IN PROGRESS)
I started work on a sketch of Ganesha last night and decided to start turning it into something.
This will eventually turn into a full-body shot of a seated Ganesha portrait once I'm done.

HAT
The final colours and a quick little edit on my laptop of the sketches posted previously.
I am quite happy about the outcome of this portrait as I tried to layer the same colours of fibre-tipped colour pens to create shadows. I think that the style of blending the effect on the right has given the image deeper and richer colours. With the feathers I kept them lightly shaded with a black biro so that they didn't take away too much from the image.
OF WHAT'S TO COME
Trying to get to work on a few little things at the moment and this is the first of a hopeful many new things to come in 2013.
Moleskine sketchbook: sketch done in pencil and inked with Faber-Castell XS and F pens and biro
