SANKT MARTIN II: SCREENPRINT

Did some screen printing at university today with one of my course-friends and came out with some pretty good results. 

Some prints that didn't come out too well the first time with vermillion I then printed cerulean over the top and displaced the image.

My friend then had a great idea to make some look like playing cards by turning the pages upside down and printing again.

Recently has ended the Wimbledon Tennis Championships.

This poster came from watching a funny tennis video where a fan yelled, "Steffi! Will you marry me?" from the crowd, to which Graf replied, "How much money do you have?"

Created in Illustrator CS6 and edited in Photoshop CS6 with grass texture.

GRID SYSTEM

Another typographic poster from my Summer to-do list.
I do enjoy dabbling in Graphic Design, however a dragging lecture prompted a short sentiment.

No offence to Schweiz, the creators of, or utilisers of the grid system. In fact, it's a very interesting and useful concept. (You can even see I've paid a little homage its origin with a cute little Swiss cross on the bottom).

Created in Adobe Illustrator and edited in Adobe Photoshop.

MOTIVATION

So, I've made myself a list of posters to do in Illustrator over the Summer.

And this is one of them. So motivational.

 

Left: Solid colour in Illustrator

ALL HAIL BEARS

I finally got round to doing another poster after a bit of project work. The concept comes from love of awesomeness of bears shared by myself and one of my sisters.

I re-used the banner from "EINMAL UM DIE WELT" and re-painted and masked out a bear face to make it look OBEY-esque.

PERSPECTIVE

I saw a pretty inspiring and awesome quote from Billy Talent's website the other day and decided to make a poster from what the lead singer said in an interview.

Used the colour of a blue/green to link with life in some cultures then added a texture in Photoshop.

So our task for this week's discussion was typographically set-out illustrations of overheard conversations.
Seriously, I overheard nothing. Nada. Nichts. Rien. This was about the only thing I did overhear...because in a supermarket in England this is all you hear.

MOSCOW: REVISITED

Not literally.
Playing about in Photoshop waiting for my lecturer to arrive and remembered I had an old sketch of Russia I never did anything with. Did a couple of variants (text and halftone edges) but overall a pretty good experiment to unwind with.
